Usually I have to take a look at the project with more than one app to figure the best way to go. I don't mess with too much video...I use either 'Convert X to DVD' or 'DVD Santa' for re-compiling downloaded (.avi,mpeg etc) files to DVD... ConvertXtoDVd is the best overall and for the price you can't beat it, IMO.

Then a week ago i did a format and full install of XP, first thing i installed was SP2, right after XP, then everything else. Let's say your OS partition gets messed up and you have reformat it and reinstall Windows. I don't think having your Program Files and all apps on a separate partition When you reinstall Windows on the OS partition, your apps are going to be rendered useless also, and you'll have to reinstall them all anyway.
